Creating an Uphold Account for U.S. Residents
You only need to complete a three-step sign up process to successfully create an account on Uphold. Follow the steps below:
1. On the homepage, tap Sign Up. Create your login credentials and select your country of residence.
2. Create your Uphold account information and check the confirmation email sent to your email address. Follow the instructions in the email.
3. Protect your account by enabling Two-Factor Authentication. You will need to enter your phone number for this.
To complete the registration process, download the Authy app and enter the phone number you used for your registration. Check the security code sent by Authy and enter those digits on the sign-up page.
The next step is to verify your account. After completing Account Verification, you will get full access to your Uphold account. To verify your identity, you will a government-issued ID, an address and a selfie holding your ID. Make sure to take clear photos of your IDs to quickly complete Account Verification.
Creating an Uphold Account for Non-US Residents
The registration process for Non-US residents is similar to that of a US resident. You will still need to create your login credentials, create your account information and download the Authy App for your security code. But for users in China, you need to submit a government-issued identification number to successfully complete the registration process.

Creating an Uphold Business Account
You have the option to sign up for a business account on Uphold. This will give you higher transaction limits and you can link the company's bank accounts for withdrawing and adding funds.
To get started, visit the sign-up page on the Uphold website and select Business account type upon registration. After signing up, log in to your account and tap on the banner on top to get to the business account application form.
